An independent Modern Greek School operates in cooperation with the Department of Philology and the Department of Philosophy - Pedagogy - Psychology. The School belongs to ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) and certifies Greek language competency for candidate students of Greek universities. 6 group courses of language competency are conducted and an equivalent certificate is awarded. More specifically:

• Winter semester courses: (October - February), 16 hours per week. They address to students of all levels of Greek language competency.
• Spring semester courses: (February - May), 20 hours per week. They address to students of all levels of Greek language competency.
• Summer courses: (June - July), 20 hours per week. They address to students of all levels of Greek language competency.
