Leonardo Da Vinci
The Leonardo Da Vinci is a community programme regarding the European Community policy on vocational training. Its aim is the quality development, promotion of innovation and emergence of the European aspect in vocational training systems and practices through interstate cooperation.
Specifically three goals are chased:
- Improvement of skills and capabilities mostly of young people in initial vocational training.
- Improvement of quality of constant vocational training and life-long acquisition of skills and abilities as well as accession to these.
- Promotion of vocational training’s contribution to the innovation procedure aiming at improving competition and business spirit in order to develop new employment opportunities.
From January 1st 2000 to December 2006 the programme’s second stage has been implemented.
The national competent body in our country is the Vocational Training Company S.A. of OAED.
