The General Objectives of the Network
The core objective of the Network is to promote mobility in Europe of students, trainers, educators, guidance practitioners, researchers, a.o. Those whose task is to confront problems of international mobility, i.e. experts in Vocational Guidance and such professionals as school counsellors, psychologists, educators, guidance practitioners and Eurocounsellors, in the fields of education, training and employment, identify the target groups of the Euroguidance Network.
The side objectives of the Network are to:
- Ensure that target groups and, mainly, Vocational Guidance experts and guidance practitioners have access to quality information on issues pertaining to education and training programmes, paths of education and careers, the legal framework of mobility, European initiatives and programmes.
- Support the exchange of quality information among the European countries with respect to education and training systems, systems of educational and vocational guidance, entities competent in the “transfer and comparability” of qualifications.
- Promote cooperation among Counselling & Vocational Guidance service providers established in Europe, mainly through Guidance Professionals exchange programmes, with the aim to promote dissemination of information, good practices, methods and tools.
- Support the development of the european dimension in the national systems of education and vocational guidance in the member-states of the E.U. and participating countries.
