EKEP's Activities in the context of the Euroguidance Network
In addition to activities common to all Centres in the Euroguidance Network outlined in section c, The Basic Activities of the Network, EKEP, the NRCVG of Greece, has concluded the following activities:
i. Publications
EKEP has compiled and published brochures with information about its activities. These brochures were distributed to all competent Counselling and Vocational Guidance organizations and interested parties. The brochures are currently updated with new information, placing emphasis on the activities of the Euroguidance Network.
ii. Development of a Website
In the context of its coordinating role on a national level, and recognizing the need to disseminate quality information on issues pertaining to Counselling and Vocational Guidance, EKEP updates its web pages with new information about education, training, employment, mobility, Vocational Guidance and European initiatives.
iii. Special Seminars & Conferences targeting Guidance Professionals
In collaboration with the two ministerial entities (Labour & Education) competent in Counselling and Vocational Guidance, EKEP organizes special seminars and conferences targeting the field interests of Guidance Counsellors. The aim of these seminars/conferences is to establish close contacts among the Guidance Counsellors and the EKEP. In addition, Counsellors will have the opportunity to learn about the new trends, activities and initiatives in the field of Counselling & Vocational Guidance. Seminars have already taken place at Heraklion (Crete), Thessaloniki, Patras and Ioannina.
Furthermore, in May 2001, EKEP organized an International Conference in Athens with the participation of attendants from 12 European countries and Canada. More than 900 delegates attended this conference which wrapped up its sessions with interesting and useful conclusions and proposals about the reconstruction of Counselling and Vocational Guidance services and activities in Greece. The proceedings were published in two volumes, in English and Greek respectively, and distributed both to national and international Guidance organizations as well as to members of the Euroguidance Network.

EKEP representatives have made presentations in numerous seminars and congresses on Counseling & Vocational Guidance in Greece and abroad, or attended the same as delegates. Indicatively, some of these seminars/congresses were:

v. Work-visit in Ireland
In the context of Euroguidance Network activities, staff of the EKEP visited the two NRCVG Centers of Ireland with the aim to have a first hand experience of best practices for meeting Network objectives, and acquire knowledge with respect to the entire spectrum of Counselling and Vocational Guidance services in Ireland. This study visit was highly useful and fruitful in terms of the information and experience acquired for further development of EKEP actions.
