Information Centres for the Young - K.P.N.
The establishment of Information Centres for the Young started with the capital towns of prefectures and major municipalities of Athens and Thessaloniki in 1997. These Centres are accountable to the General Secretariat for Youth (Ministry of Education).
They aim to:
- a) provide free access to reliable and current information with respect to equal opportunities, issues of interest to youth and about the labour market,
- b) provide administrative support to programmes involving the young,
- c) facilitate access to modern technology of the young,

Church of Greece
A Youth Office operates in the Archbishopric of Athens and offers support to minors and adults with respect to education and vocational guidance. This Office and other Spiritual Centres of the Church of Greece are open to all individuals with a history of wrong choices in education and vocation.

Educational & Vocational Guidance Centre (established by the UOA)
The Educational & Vocational Guidance Centre was established by the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1992 and is affiliated to the Department of Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy. It was established to provide counselling & career guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students of all departments of the University of Athens, as well as to all University and T.E.I. students and those in secondary education. In addition, the Centre provides support to educators/trainers who implement the institution of Counselling & Vocational Guidance, to experts specialized in Counselling & Vocational Guidance and those employed in the sectors of education, employment or other public or private sector services.
This Centre offers the following: information, counselling (individual or group), career management skills and life-long learning.

Recognizing that service time should contribute to strengthening decision-making procedures for career orientation and development, the Greek Army has established a Personnel Development Department of interdisciplinary character. In the context of its objectives, this Department implements Vocational Guidance courses for new recruits. In addition, the same services are provided to the children of Army personnel.
Research Centre for the Equality of Sexes - K.E.TH.I.
This Centre has been operating in Athens since 1994, with four branches in major towns around the country. It is accountable to the General Secretariat for Equality of the Sexes. The aims of this Centre are to promote equal opportunities for women in all aspects of political, economic and social life. To this end the Centre has organized Women’s Information Points providing, among other things, counselling with respect to employment and Vocational Guidance, career targeting and efficient job hunting.
Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts - ÊÅ.ÔÇ.Å.Á.
This is a self-governed Centre, a private law body corporate (Non-Profit Organization) established in 1983 to address the needs of drug addicts and their families. The Centre’s activities spin around primary prevention and the training of mental health practitioners in the areas of detoxification and research. Particular emphasis is placed on vocational training and rehabilitation of clients who are required to participate in various rehabilitation programmes designed to facilitate their social inclusion, but also constitute a basic factor for combating relapse to addiction. In this context the KE.TH.E.A designs and implements Vocational Guidance, training and education courses for the benefit of clients participating in the therapy programmes.
Organization Against Drugs - Ï.ÊÁ.Í.Á.
This Organization was certified in 1998 as a Special Centre for Social and Vocational Inclusion - E.K.K.E.E. and currently has a presence in Athens and Thessaloniki. The aim of this Organization is to offer addicted or rehabilitated clients training and the opportunity to develop their skills in a variety of sectors. The same applies to other vulnerable social groups. At the same time the Organization against Drugs promotes its clients to the labour market and provides ancillary support services. In the context of the latter services, the Organization carries out actions in Vocational Orientation with the aim to expand and enrich the aptitudes, competences, skills, and interests of the participants in the programmes.
